I interviewed Tyson Slocum, Director of Public Citizen's Energy Program on July 10, 2007 about what is happening between a power plant and a light switch.

Tyson explained how the electricity grid works, what the difference is between transmission and distribution and some new technology available to make the grid "smarter."

The files you can listen to here are the news section I start every show with (the opening song has been edited out), the interview itself divided into files for faster downloading (especially for those of us with slow modems) then most of the listener phone call segment.
