A list of Browsers to download
For A new install or upgrade If your older browser does not support higher HTML,
Frames or Java
Netscape Navigator
|
Number one choice of browser among most
savvy net surfers...download the latest version. |
Internet Explorer
|
Most new PCs have this one loaded at
the factory along with Windows. My feelings for the way-too-tight integration of IE with the Windows 98 Operating
system has me concerned, but I can use it well enough with 95 (with Active Desktop not installed) and still switch
to the other two when I want to access features that they can do better...or just for a change of scene. |
Opera
|
You'll have to pay for this one, unlike
the other two, but download it and try it out for 30 days free. You'll probably be glad to fork over the money
(A very reasonable price) as Opera has features that the others just missed the boat on...plus, the zip file you
download is only 1.4M. The growing popularity of Opera has the big two scrambling to downsize their bloated footprint. |
You have come to this page in one of two ways, you clicked on the dual
browser links on the 'Nuff Said! front page, or you tried to read our comics without a frames-capable browser.
Either way I suggest that you have the latest browser version in order to view this site, and many others, the
way their designers intended.
I know that the big two are long downloads and will take up loads of your hard drive, if that's your main concern
then I heartily recommend downloading Opera.
