Hawks and eagles have an important role in the eco-system. Centuries ago, predators were thought to be "immoral" because they killed for their food, but predators actually benefit the species they prey upon and this show explores that. Predators are "indicator species" because their presence or absense indicates the health of an eco-system because they show whether there is enough prey to sustain them and therefore enough of the prey's food.
